Leather Document Envelope

Leather Document Envelopes are perfect for many things. This particular model is for documents that you keep in the glove compartment of your car. I drive a VW Mark IV R32 (For those of you that may not know this car is a GTI on steroids. V6 Racing motor, all wheel drive, all the bells and whistles). These cars are only made every 4 years and are limited to a production run of 5000. Why am I telling you this? It's a collectors car. Comes with a really nice notebook for the manuals and stuff but no way to keep up with your service records and such, until now. I felt a need to have something that matched the rarity of the car when I needed to pull my records while at the dealer or, well, just to show off actually.

My car is Tornado Red, hence the red thread and red lining. In 2004 the cars also came in Deep Blue Pearl and Reflex Silver. Therefore I have the capabilities to line the envelope in blue or silver with thread to match. Now, I would think that this would be the perfect gift for any automotive enthusiast. Can be made in any size, with any color thread and any color lining (as long as a leather dye is available in the color you wish). In this case I have made a matching key chain, again with red thread to match the cars paint. The other unique thing about this item is the hand carved logo on both the envelope and the keychain. This logo is obviously for my "R", can accomplish the same for any automobile. Can as well replace it with names, signatures, slogans, etc. Personally I think this one would look really nice with a Corvette or Ferarri logo. Base price for a leather document envelope with logo and lining at 5.5" x 11.5" is $125.00. Matching keychain is an additional $40.00. More complicated logos and/or larger sizes would be a bit more. Like I said, perfect gift. Just how many of these have you seen at a car show?  DH
