Jurassic World Knife Sheath and Multi-Tool Pouch

Jurassic World Knife Sheath and Multi-Tool Pouch

First off, you need to read this as I am not the original maker of the Jurassic Park Sheath and Leatherman Pouch. However, the legal licensing for the sheath and pouch have been passed to me by the original maker Dennis of Dragon Leatherworks in Oak Ridge, TN. Second, these are $150 each plus S&H. The Multi-tool pouch can be made to fit your particular tool. The sheath is specifically made for the knife made by Steve. The knife is custom made for the movie by Steve Auvenshine in Paris, Kentucky. The sheath and Leatherman pouch were made by Dennis in Oak Ridge, TN who had a business called Dragon Leatherworks (now gone unfortunately). As my company Dragonthorn...

Boot Knife Sheath – The “Right Way”

Boot Knife Sheath – The “Right Way”

Boot Knife Sheath, done the correct way. Have you ever noticed that all boot knife sheaths seem to be made wrong? You know what I mean, the clip forces you to carry the knife either outside of your boot “or” if you carry it inside your boot (which makes the most sense) the handle of the knife is up against your leg instead of the soft leather being against your leg as it should be. Herein lies the serious advantage in custom leather knife sheaths … you can have it made the “right way”. On this page are a few examples of boot knife sheaths I have created. They are designed properly so that the clip holds your knife on the...

Chefs knife bag

Chefs knife bag

“Chefs Knife Bag (Roll-up)”, where else are you going to store and carry those insanely nice food prep knives you’ve bought? These pics are a bit older so I offer my apologies. This particular piece was custom made for a chef in Belgium. His wife was looking for something that none of his buddies had so she called me … from Belgium! Don’t mind the knives, not a good as professional chef’s use but they work fine for me and my tries at cooking good stuff. This is a particularly large piece as it is designed to carry 20 different knives and roll up into a “hang off your shoulder” bag to carry from kitchen to kitchen or home...

“Hawg Hunter” Custom Leather Knife Sheath

“Hawg Hunter” Custom Leather Knife Sheath

Honestly, this one was fun. Received a telephone call from a gentlemen in West Virginia that wondered if I could do something “interesting” for his Tops Prather War Bowie. He and his buddy like to hog hunt (hawg as we say it in the south). He wanted something in leather vs. the nylon sheath that comes with it. He also wanted to be able to carry it vertical or horizontal on his belt or pack and to be able to strap it to his leg. I have also included images of his buddies sheath to show the variation based on different knives in the same sheath style. This custom leather knife sheath has the capability to accomplish all of the above. This sheath is constructed...

Leather Slip Knife Sheath with snap for Hartsook Skinner©

Leather Slip Knife Sheath with snap for Hartsook Skinner©

This leather slip knife sheath with a snap for Doug Hartsook’s Skinner© is a nice piece of work!, even if I do say so myself. The knife obviously speaks for itself. The sheath is another matter entirely. Allow me this opportunity to introduce Buck Early, sheath designer. Buck’s my best friend and we met through our love for knives. I will be featuring a few of Bucks designs as this webpage moves forward. Needless to say, the man has a brain for sheath design. This piece is made of 5-6oz. oil tanned brown leather and is lined with a butterscotch suede. I have perfected a technique whereby the lining does not need to be stitched to the outer shell in order to...

Every Day Carry Dragon PCS – Pocket Carry System©

Every Day Carry Dragon PCS – Pocket Carry System©

The Dragon PCS© System for every day carry is probably the most difficult and yet the most simple to explain. Difficult, as the pictures show only a few of an infinite variety of possibilities. Simple, as the design and construction is only limited by what you carry daily in your pocket. The PCS featured above is one that was designed for a customer in France. For this one, I used 4-5 oz. horse hide, dyed a warm cognac brown and highlighted with contrasting orange stitching.  This PCS holds a small Altoids tin, a large Bic lighter, a Fisher Space Pin, a Derma Safe Knife, and has my signature slot for a guitar pick and coin.  Although I always think of this item as being...
