What we have here is a Leather Pancake case constructed to hold an iPhone 6 enclosed in a Griffin Technologies Survivor. You may notice that with many/most cellphone cases coming out today they all have clips of some kind that add an additional 1/2″ to the case thickness once you place it on your belt. The nice thing about pancake cases is that due to the construction they lay very flat against your side. This particular case has been made for an attorney in Manhattan that wished the case to be very simple yet rugged. It is constructed out of 3-4 oz. vegetable tanned leather and is lined with a grey sueded pigskin. It is dyed black with Fiebings Professional Oil Dye. I constructed a hardwood mold of the Griffin Technology case in order to ensure that the Griffin case fit properly. The customer was kind enough to ship me the case to ensure a perfect fit. This case can be made to fit any phone and can be constructed in any color combination. This case is particularly useful to those that carry their phones in an “extreme crash proof” case and still require a slim method of placing it on your belt.
